Corporate and R&D executives visit Tel Aviv University to explore collaborative projects in biotechnology and food-tech.

The Industry Relations Center of Tel Aviv University, in collaboration with the Faculty of Life Sciences, recently hosted R&D and corporate executives from the Strauss Group for an in-depth exchange on biotechnology and food-tech innovation.

Building on an earlier campus tour and ongoing dialogue between the faculty and corporate stakeholders, this return visit marked a key step in deepening the partnership by shifting from initial introductions to focused, strategic conversations about shared innovation goals and long-term synergy.

The visit highlighted how university research directly addresses complex industrial challenges. During the visit, senior faculty members Prof. Uri Gophna, Prof. Vered Padler-Karavani, and Dr. Anan Moran guided the delegation through research laboratories and led targeted discussions on translating academic research into practical industrial applications within biotechnology and food-tech. By presenting their work firsthand, the researchers demonstrated how fundamental science directly supports the development of new commercial products and technical capabilities.

Visits like this underscore Tel Aviv University’s proactive commitment to connecting academic excellence with industrial vision, laying the groundwork for impactful collaborations that turn scientific discoveries into market-ready solutions.
